Buon giorno, I’m Carolina. My passion is simple: Art! Van Gogh’s quote captures my passion for art…“I am seeking, I am striving, I am in it with all my heart”! Creating artwork with a lively spirit, and vibrant tapestry of color is my mission. Being raised with a European influence, living in Italy for a time, often is what dictates my eclectic style and is what inspired me to study the magical world of art. Tuscany is where I felt most connected artistically, with the green rolling hills, stone buildings, character-filled villages and golden sunlight…it took me to a world of imaginary places and things.
The combination of practical application over many years in working with different mediums and techniques, which include, acrylics, oil, collage, mixed media, watercolor, bas relief and pastels and university training brought my creativity to a new level allowing me to explore the outward bounds of artistic expression. I capture moments, and sometimes I’m lucky to create them!
My pieces are an expression of myself. Travelling to different locales has given me perspective, as each piece is expressive of that diversity which depicts my journey from start to finish. Whether I’m painting the Tuscan countryside or the native Pueblo, I try to capture a fragment of energy and vivacity in the subject matter.
I have studios located in Alamo, California and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Currently, I have an installation at the City of Livermore, California.
